When Deivid Araújo fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Loreto AD's protests and gave Deivid Araújo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd minute, Deivid Araújo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ademar Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ademar Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte Perez having to interfere. Duarte Perez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademar Simões in the 27th minute of the match. When Geraldo Tavares fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Loreto AD's protests and gave Geraldo Tavares a yellow card for diving instead. Geraldo Tavares hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Loreto AD's Ademar Simões slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Duarte Perez. That made the score 1-0 after 33 minutes of play. Anísio de Souza struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Marcelinho Vander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itacutiara. Nuno Albuquerque recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Loreto AD's zone, Anísio de Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelinho Vander came out of the goal and Anísio de Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anísio de Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelinho Vander having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anísio de Souza was the one to do the kick off. Dino Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ademar Simões in the 55th minute of play forced Itacutiara's goalkeeper Duarte Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ademar Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Itacutiara getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Nuno Albuquerque hit a great ball. Ademar Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte Perez having to interfere. Dino Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte Perez having to interfere. Dino Quadros struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Duarte Perez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Loreto AD. Anísio de Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Ademar Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the game, one of Itacutiara:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 89th minute Dino Quadros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duarte Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 90 minutes, Anísio de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itacutiara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anísio de Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 94th minute, Ademar Simões left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Loreto AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Loreto AD were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Itacutiara for a fine match.
