Dino Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorian Santana having to interfere. If Donatello Arantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the match, Loreto AD's goal looked a bit too open when Donatello Arantes came free, but Marcelinho Vander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcelinho Vander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ademar Simões made a kick off. Loreto AD were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Rebojinho FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antônio Carlos Quadros took the corner.
