Straga Racha's Roberto Reis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Straga Racha from getting a goal against them. In the 12th minute of the game João Paulo Vieira made a throw-in which Nilton Vargas played forward. In the 15th minute of the game Donato Dias made a throw-in which Alvise Zara played forward. A collision led to Flamengo getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Alvise Zara hit a great ball. With a little luck, Straga Racha's Roberto Reis got control of the ball when Guto Cunha tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rd minute André Prado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nilton Vargas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaltino Vander having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guto Cunha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Flamengo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albano Jerold to maneuver through the defense. Guto Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Reis having to interfere. Isaltino Vander made an important save on a dangerous shot by William Cearense in the 75th minute. Roberto Reis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guto Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute, Tales Velasco made a precise shot to the right of Roberto Reis. Straga Racha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Robinho de Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Roberto Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guto Cunha in the 87th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guto Cunha in the 89th minute of play forced Straga Racha's goalkeeper Roberto Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. William Cearense made in the 92nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Flamengo's Donato Dias.
