Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) José Carioca started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 6 minutes of play, Jandaia's Albertino Botelho made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romeu Cerezo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 15 minutes into the game, Albertino Botelho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Romeu Cerezo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 20th minute, Fausto Prestes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jandaia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Belchior da Silva charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Belchior da Silva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th match minute, Jandaia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Belchior da Silva to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Los Gordo booed when Jandaia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean Leme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Los Gordo's José Carioca got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 37th minute there was a penalty for Jandaia. Alexsandro Batista stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Romeu Cerezo. 0-4. After a defensive mix-up in Los Gordo's zone, Fausto Prestes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romeu Cerezo came out of the goal and Fausto Prestes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 43 minutes, Fausto Prestes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jandaia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Prestes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fausto Prestes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Albertino Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fausto Prestes to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Los Gordo booed when Jandaia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noel Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jandaia's Osvaldo Pereira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Leal in the 52nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Jandaia's Belchior da Silva got a free kick in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean Leme in the 57th minute of play forced Los Gordo's goalkeeper Romeu Cerezo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Marcos Arantes came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Los Gordo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcos Arantes couldn't finish the play. Marcos Arantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Pereira having to interfere. In the 70th minute, one of Los Gordo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Los Gordo. When the match had been going on for 71 minutes, Jandaia's Alexsandro Batista got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Romeu Cerezo. After some careless play in the Los Gordo defense, Albertino Botelho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Romeu Cerezo. The Los Gordo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Romeu Cerezo should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Jandaia getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Elivélton Vides hit a great ball. Jacinto Leal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Romeu Cerezo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Prestes in the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Jandaia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
