Caco Baptista didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Virgílio Zanette went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 9th match minute, Cordeiros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laércio Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. Júnior Dante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Paulo Tavares in the 12th minute of the match. Caco Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Reis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 19 played minutes Cordeiros FC got a freekick which was hit by Edu da Silva. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laércio Fonseca in the 23rd minute of play forced SAO FRANCISCO 49ers's goalkeeper Júnior Dante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caco Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Reis in the 24th minute of the match. SAO FRANCISCO 49ers's Júnior Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laércio Fonseca in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Cordeiros FC's goalkeeper Caco Baptista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcus Reis. When Edu da Silva came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Cordeiros FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edu da Silva couldn't finish the play. Júnior Dante came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Cordeiros FC's Laércio Fonseca. But to his dismay, Laércio Fonseca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A collision led to Cordeiros FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Dênis Freire hit a great ball. Marcus Reiss short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Caco Baptista to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Virgílio Zanette recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Virgílio Zanette came free with the goalkeeper in the 45th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Caco Baptista could save by the left post. Virgílio Zanette might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Caco Baptista. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Virgílio Zanette ran back to his position shaking his head.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcus Reis to strike the kick off in the second half. Laércio Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Júnior Dante didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cordeiros FC. In the 56th match minute, Cordeiros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laércio Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. Eliseu Meireles kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Laércio Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Júnior Dante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Virgílio Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With 81 minutes on the clock, Carlinhos Borges commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Leonel Pimenta shot the penalty kick right outside the post. If Virgílio Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, SAO FRANCISCO 49ers's Júnior Dante got control of the ball when Dênis Freire tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Marcus Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chants of Cordeiros FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as SAO FRANCISCO 49ers had held the ball for most of the match.
