Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 7th minute, Luisinho Pombal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, C.A. XII de Junho's Luciano Guimarães got a free kick in the 8th minute. If Telmo Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dráuzio Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cássio de Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Barris's Dráuzio Salgado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Barris from getting a goal against them. 18 minutes into the match, C.A. XII de Junho's goal looked a bit too open when Luisinho Pombal came free, but Guto Motta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Telmo Magalhães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Dráuzio Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luisinho Pombal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Luisinho Pombal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guto Motta was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. In the 43rd minute, Telmo Magalhães ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dráuzio Salgado was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cássio de Amaral to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Cássio de Amaral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dráuzio Salgado was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Délio Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barris's supporters rose to their feet, but Délio Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guto Motta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luisinho Pombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Guto Motta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. C.A. XII de Junho's Telmo Magalhães got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Kauan Bastos fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barris's protests and gave Kauan Bastos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 79th minute there was a penalty for C.A. XII de Junho. Ronaldo Dracena stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dráuzio Salgado. 2-1. In the 84th minute, Cássio de Amaral left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.A. XII de Junho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After some careless play in the Barris defense, Giovanni Severo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dráuzio Salgado. The Barris fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dráuzio Salgado should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The C.A. XII de Junho fans cheered their team off the field, for while Barris had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
