Mazinho Maranhense was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marcus Mumbach showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 74 minute of play. Arthur Machado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catirina. In the 89th match minute, Amorinopolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Félix to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute of the match Arlindo Cordeiro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arthur Machado skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Amorinopolis's zone, Dedé de Senna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arthur Machado came out of the goal and Dedé de Senna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maurício Gerber hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
