In the 8th minute, Jaime Meira fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Edinho Cordeiro, passed just outside the right post. Edson Baiano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Edson Baiano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zelandia's supporters rose to their feet, but Edson Baiano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hamílton Luz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 23 minutes, Reginaldo Silveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zelandia and the Quixeramobim FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Reginaldo Silveira kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Edinho Cordeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Meira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edinho Cordeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Meira in the 29th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Edson Baiano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hamílton Luz. Quixeramobim FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edson Baiano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The referee showed Carlos Fernando Guerra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 46th match minute, Quixeramobim FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Fernando Guerra to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vito Cardoso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Jaime Meira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Quixeramobim FC's Frank Seco got a free kick in the 59th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Vito Cardoso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hamílton Luz. Quixeramobim FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vito Cardoso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Quixeramobim FC's Hamílton Luz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Quixeramobim FC from getting a goal against them. Frank Seco hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. A collision led to Zelandia getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Ramón Meirelles hit a great ball. In the 74th minute, Edson Baiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edinho Cordeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Seco in the 78th minute of the match. Armandinho Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nilton Diniz during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 89 played minutes Zelandia got a freekick which was hit by Nilton Diniz. The audience was convinced that Jaime Meira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edinho Cordeiro was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. The supporters of Quixeramobim FC booed when Zelandia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edson Baiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zelandia's goalkeeper Edinho Cordeiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Zelandia played a much better game than Quixeramobim FC and deserved their victory. The Quixeramobim FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
