The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Clube Atlético Nacional's José Maria Antunes got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Cristian Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Edu Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ipuzinho booed when Clube Atlético Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luiz Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manolo Paranaense scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edu Dias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pedro Luiz Gerber's late challenge caught a Ipuzinho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Luiz Gerber helped the player get up and apologised. Pedro Luiz Gerber kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Agenor Mangueira kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 28thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Ipuzinho's keeper Adelino Marinho was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. After some careless play in the Clube Atlético Nacional defense, Cristian Santos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edu Dias. The Clube Atlético Nacional fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edu Dias should have stopped the shot. Pedro Luiz Gerber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pedro Luiz Gerber didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 2-2 via right post in the game's 37th minute. Clube Atlético Nacional's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Pedro Luiz Gerber managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube Atlético Nacional's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Luiz Gerber was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adelino Marinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro Luiz Gerber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ipuzinho's zone, Maurício Teixeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adelino Marinho came out of the goal and Maurício Teixeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ipuzinho's Adelino Marinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agenor Mangueira in the 60th minute of play. If Agenor Mangueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the game, Pedro Luiz Gerber cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Adelino Marinho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Clube Atlético Nacional's Severino Bastos got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adelino Marinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Bastos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Manolo Paranaense was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 75 minutes had been played. Manolo Paranaense hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Adelino Marinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Maria Antunes in the 85th minute of the match. Agenor Mangueira kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Renatinho Leme kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edu Dias. That made the score 3-3 in the 94 minute of play.
