Edmundo Lira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualter Arce having to interfere. Rubinho Gerber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Gualter Arce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Falcão do Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Edmundo Lira came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Alamari fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Lira couldn't finish the play. Gualter Arce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Lira, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 29th minute, Augusto Meirelles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Augusto Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Nilmar Vander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 37 minutes, José Augusto Baptista made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Alamari's Nilmar Vander tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 42nd minute, Rubinho Gerber got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Alberto Pitta kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. José Augusto Baptista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Nilmar Vander made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Augusto Baptista to make the kick off. In the 57th minute Natanael Chaves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilmar Vander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute Rubinho Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualter Arce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alamari's Nilmar Vander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Augusto Baptista in the 63rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Augusto Meirelles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ampere EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Augusto Meirelles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nilmar Vander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hélio Prata hit a great ball. If José Augusto Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ampere EC's Augusto Meirelles got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Augusto Baptista in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nilmar Vander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 82 minutes, Carlos Alberto Pitta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alamari and the Ampere EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 82 played minutes Alamari got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Alberto Pitta. When José Augusto Baptista came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Ampere EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Augusto Baptista couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Alamari's Carlos Alberto Pitta got a free kick in the 89th minute. After 91 played minutes Alamari got a freekick which was hit by Hélio Prata. 92 minutes into the match, Ampere EC's Luís Eduardo Nogueira broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Augusto Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Nilmar Vander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ampere EC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Alamari for a fine match.
