The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Matías Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aloísio Varela, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. After 4 minutes, Umberto Meireles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paula and the Sempre Verdão players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Fernando Penha got free with Alex Saraiva in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alex Saraiva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vitinho Rodrigues went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. If Felix Metz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of Paula:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sempre Verdão:s goal. When the match had been going on for 15 minutes, Sempre Verdão's Vitinho Rodrigues got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Alex Saraiva. Vitinho Rodrigues received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alex Saraiva came out and tried to block the shot, but Vitinho Rodrigues slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 21st minute. 24 minutes into the game, Michel Antunes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Alex Saraiva was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aloísio Varela in the 28th minute of play forced Sempre Verdão's goalkeeper Matías Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sempre Verdão's Matías Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Umberto Meireles in the 29th minute of play. With a little luck, Paula's Alex Saraiva got control of the ball when Carlos Fernando Penha tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Peres in the 34th minute of play forced Sempre Verdão's goalkeeper Matías Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alex Saraiva made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Carlos Fernando Penha sent off a good shot on target. Carlos Fernando Penha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aloísio Varela got free with Matías Ribeiro in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 88 minutes into the match, Paula's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Fernando Penha came free, but Alex Saraiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Paula's zone, Felix Metz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alex Saraiva came out of the goal and Felix Metz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sempre Verdão walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
