Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Matuapira's David Arantes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Claudinei Faria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 10th minute, Ulysses Mendonça left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caitau fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. A collision led to Matuapira getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Kléberson Pinheiro hit a great ball. Ulysses Mendonça recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th minute Kléberson de Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Váldson Abraão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caitau's Délio Mandrak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinei Faria in the 21st minute of play. In the 26th minute, Caitau's Kléberson de Amaral dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Kléberson de Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If David Arantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 40 minutes, Vitório Medeiros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caitau and the Matuapira players grew even worse after the yellow card. David Arantes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kléberson de Amaral to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Matuapira's Claudinei Faria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Délio Mandrak narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Claudinei Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Délio Mandrak having to interfere. Ulysses Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Váldson Abraão having to interfere. Caitau's Nestor Pinho got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Váldson Abraão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulysses Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matuapira's Claudinei Faria got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Váldson Abraão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulysses Mendonça in the 77th minute of the match. After 78 played minutes Caitau got a freekick which was hit by Ulysses Mendonça. Cesinha Rosado hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After 82 played minutes Caitau got a freekick which was hit by Fabrício Fontes. Délio Mandrak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of David Arantes's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Matuapira's zone, Ulysses Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Váldson Abraão came out of the goal and Ulysses Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ulysses Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Váldson Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Nestor Pinho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Váldson Abraão was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. If Ulysses Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hílton Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Váldson Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Caitau's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
