Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Francisco Meirelles started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd match minute, Caporanga SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Róbson Braga to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 5 in the game by Clóvis Baiano from a close distance when the talented Ulysses Vander managed to make a qualified save. Caporanga SS's players were relieved. 6 minutes into the game, Róbson Braga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caporanga SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alagoas the free kick. In the 6th minute, Róbson Braga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jardel Veloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Meirelles, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Tadeu da Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Jardel Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francisco Meirelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jardel Veloso having to interfere. Jardel Veloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Meirelles in the 28th minute of the match. Márcio Meira kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 35th minute of the match Inácio Tavares shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ulysses Vander showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Cléberson de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Caporanga SS's Tadeu da Fonseca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jardel Veloso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Francisco Meirelles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jardel Veloso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. In the 47th match minute, Alagoas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Augusto Cunha to maneuver through the defense. 49 minutes into the game, Caporanga SS's Tadeu da Fonseca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jardel Veloso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After the first half Caporanga SS were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Cléberson de Queirós made the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by Tadeu da Fonseca got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, Alagoas's Jardel Veloso got control of the ball when Diogo Moura tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ulysses Vander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cléberson de Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clóvis Baiano during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Caporanga SS booed when Alagoas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clóvis Baiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute, Clóvis Baiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Tadeu da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jardel Veloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Meirelles in the 83rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Alagoas's Eusébio Mazza got a free kick in the 84th minute. Ulysses Vander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clóvis Baiano in the 90th minute of play. Ulysses Vander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clóvis Baiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Caporanga SS's Francisco Meirelles in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 99th minute, Tadeu da Fonseca made a precise shot to the right of Jardel Veloso. Alagoas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The Caporanga SS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Caporanga SS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
