David Alves's late challenge caught a Botucatu FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Alves helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Indaiá Packers getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. David Alves hit a great ball. The Botucatu FC fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when Botucatu FC's Agnaldo da Cunha looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Alan Arce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walmyr Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alan Arce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmyr Velasco in the 16th minute of the match. Walmyr Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agnaldo da Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Alan Arce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Alves who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Durval Britto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Alan Arce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmyr Velasco in the 28th minute of the match. When Botucatu FC's Walmyr Velasco in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Indaiá Packers's goalie prevented a goal. Agnaldo da Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alan Arce having to interfere. If David Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute Walmyr Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alan Arce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Botucatu FC's Durval Britto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Botucatu FC from getting a goal against them. After the first half Botucatu FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Agnaldo da Cunha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Botucatu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmyr Velasco to maneuver through the defense. After 56 played minutes, Indaiá Packers's Washington Maranhense shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Durval Britto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Indaiá Packers reached it. Agnaldo da Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alan Arce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agnaldo da Cunha in the 62nd minute of the match. When Indaiá Packers's Régis Tande in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Botucatu FC's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Botucatu FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Aílton Lira hit a great ball. In the 71st minute, Washington Maranhense sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Botucatu FC's Durval Britto didn't even have to move. With his leg Alan Arce managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Botucatu FC's Walmyr Velasco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Indaiá Packers's David Alves got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 81st minute Agnaldo da Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alan Arce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredinho Cabral charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfredinho Cabral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alfredinho Cabral kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Botucatu FC's Agnaldo da Cunha managed to work through Indaiá Packers's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Agnaldo da Cunha dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Alan Arce made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Walmyr Velasco sent off a good shot on target. If Agnaldo da Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Durval Britto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Alves, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The Indaiá Packers supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Botucatu FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Botucatu FC.
