Enio Secco made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Waldir Messias sent off a good shot on target. Enio Secco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Waldir Messias went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Enio Secco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arí Gaúcho in the 7th minute of play. Enio Secco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arí Gaúcho, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. If Arí Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kléberson Figueiredo hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Bruninho Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Paulo Renato Cruz fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ibera F.C.'s protests and gave Paulo Renato Cruz a yellow card for diving instead. Ibera F.C.'s Arí Gaúcho got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The tension between the Salta and the Ibera F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zeca Catarinense was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 28th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Waldir Messias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Enio Secco made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Salta's Mateus Paiva got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Bruninho Salgado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erasmo Monteiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Waldir Messias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Waldir Messias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Enio Secco made a huge save. Waldir Messias might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enio Secco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Waldir Messias ran back to his position shaking his head. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mateus Paiva to strike the kick off in the second half. If Waldir Messias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the match, Arí Gaúcho notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Salta's Enio Secco. Enio Secco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 60 minutes into the match, Arí Gaúcho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Enio Secco. Salta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arí Gaúcho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gil Sampaio during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Erasmo Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateus Paiva in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Bruninho Salgado fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a rather tough play, Ibera F.C.'s Paulo Renato Cruz got a free kick in the 74th minute. A long shot from Joel Trancoso in the 74th minute of play was well struck, but Erasmo Monteiro made a really good save at the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Waldir Messias in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enio Secco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arí Gaúcho struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Enio Secco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ibera F.C.. Enio Secco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arí Gaúcho's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. When Kléberson Figueiredo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 94 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Salta's Kléberson Figueiredo got a free kick in the 95th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Salta players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ibera F.C..
