Enio Secco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Kléberson Figueiredo fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salta's protests and gave Kléberson Figueiredo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Salta getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Kléberson Figueiredo hit a great ball. In the 10th minute, Washington Maranhense sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Salta's Enio Secco didn't even have to move. In the 11th minute Régis Tande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enio Secco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Indaiá Packers defense, Bruninho Salgado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alan Arce. The Indaiá Packers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alan Arce should have stopped the shot. Salta's Enio Secco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Alves in the 20th minute of play. Salta's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Enio Secco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Régis Tande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, Allan Branco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Indaiá Packers were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Salta's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Washington Maranhense took the corner. Indaiá Packers's Washington Maranhense was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Enio Secco in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mateus Paiva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Indaiá Packers got a freekick which was hit by Alfredinho Cabral. Alan Arce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateus Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruninho Salgado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Indaiá Packers's Alan Arce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateus Paiva in the 66th minute of play. Enio Secco stood somewhat misplaced when David Alves came free in front of goal and shot 2-4 to the left of him in the 74 minute. Mateus Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 86 minutes, Bruninho Salgado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruninho Salgado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Salta booed when Indaiá Packers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Falcão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mateus Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Alan Arce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Indaiá Packers players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
