Cléber Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Cléberson de Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19thth minute of the game Tiago Gabriel Sarmento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Macaoca AD's Vicente Mangueira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vicente Mangueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinei Catarinense in the 24th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Caraubas SC's goal looked a bit too open when Cléber Matos came free, but Cléberson de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Armandinho Sabóia during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 33 played minutes Caraubas SC got a freekick which was hit by Armandinho Sabóia. Cléber Matos struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Cléberson de Brito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Macaoca AD. Caraubas SC's Tiago Gabriel Sarmento got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Zé Mumbach got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Amadeu Urbano hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. When Allan Freitas came up free with the goalie in the 49th minute, the Caraubas SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Allan Freitas couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dinei Catarinense to make the kick off. If Zé Mumbach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cléberson de Brito stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cléber Matos's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Macaoca AD's Vicente Mangueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dinei Catarinense in the 63rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cléber Matos in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cléberson de Brito prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dinei Catarinense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Ceresso got free with Vicente Mangueira in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dinei Catarinense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Mangueira having to interfere. Felipe Ceresso struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Vicente Mangueira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caraubas SC. In the 87th minute of the match Claudinho Cosme shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cléberson de Brito showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Macaoca AD booed when Caraubas SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Gabriel Sarmento didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 90 minutes, Geovânio Matorin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Macaoca AD and the Caraubas SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 90th match minute, Macaoca AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovânio Matorin to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute Caraubas SC were awarded a corner.
