Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) River Altlético do Piauí's Rui Branco started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Anísio Mandrak didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicolas Motta went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Nicolas Motta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pacovalinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolas Motta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anísio Mandrak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Nicolas Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Nicolas Motta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vladimir Abraão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rui Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pacovalinho's Vladimir Abraão got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abel Albuquerque hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. When Nicolas Motta, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 41 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Anísio Mandrak was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Rui Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Eusébio Furlan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vladimir Abraão to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Rui Branco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rui Branco in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eusébio Furlan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 62nd minute, Luizinho Lopez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nicolas Motta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anísio Mandrak having to interfere. If Vladimir Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 73 played minutes River Altlético do Piauí got a freekick which was hit by Luizinho Lopez. Vladimir Abraão kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Eusébio Furlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Branco in the 78th minute of the match. Anísio Mandrak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vladimir Abraão's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Vladimir Abraão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pacovalinho's Eusébio Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Branco in the 85th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Haroldo Koehler managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Altlético do Piauí's supporters rose to their feet, but Haroldo Koehler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eusébio Furlan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Rui Branco came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the River Altlético do Piauí fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rui Branco couldn't finish the play. 92 minutes into the match, River Altlético do Piauí's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimir Abraão came free, but Anísio Mandrak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nicolas Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Pacovalinho had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
