Hélio Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Galácticos FC's Ruy Alves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zé Augusto Queiroz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 11 minutes, Ruy Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galácticos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruy Alves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 16 played minutes Galácticos FC got a freekick which was hit by Aílton Chaves. Zé Augusto Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugênio Cerezo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Galácticos FC's Ruy Alves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zé Augusto Queiroz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Galácticos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique Coutinho came free, but Erasmo Marquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, Henrique Coutinho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Zé Augusto Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugênio Cerezo in the 42nd minute of the match. If Eugênio Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 68th minute, Diamantino Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute Sílvio Luís Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo Marquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Ruilandia AD's Henrique Coutinho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erasmo Marquez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 74thth minute of the game Henrique Coutinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galácticos FC's Erasmo Marquez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eugênio Cerezo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ruy Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ruilandia AD fans cheered their team off the field, for while Galácticos FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
