Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Henrique Coutinho started the match with the kick off. When Eriberto Cavalcante came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the Barroada EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eriberto Cavalcante couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Ruilandia AD's Hélio Nogueira got a free kick in the 4th minute. Fernando Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Zé Augusto Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Barroada EC's Eriberto Cavalcante sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zé Augusto Queiroz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 13 minutes into the game, one of Ruilandia AD:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Barroada EC's Abel Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrique Coutinho in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Sílvio Luís Lima made a precise shot to the right of Abel Ramalho. Barroada EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. When Eriberto Cavalcante came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Barroada EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eriberto Cavalcante couldn't finish the play. If Eriberto Cavalcante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eriberto Cavalcante in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Augusto Queiroz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Eriberto Cavalcante came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Barroada EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eriberto Cavalcante couldn't finish the play. 35 minutes into the match, Ruilandia AD's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Leite came free, but Zé Augusto Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Henrique Coutinho got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 40th minute, Henrique Coutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Fernando Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd match minute, Ruilandia AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Jacinto to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernando Leite to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Ruilandia AD's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Leite came free, but Zé Augusto Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sílvio Luís Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Ramalho having to interfere. With a little luck, Ruilandia AD's Zé Augusto Queiroz got control of the ball when Eriberto Cavalcante tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 68th minute, Eriberto Cavalcante left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barroada EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Zé Augusto Queiroz made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Eriberto Cavalcante sent off a good shot on target. When Ruilandia AD's Henrique Coutinho in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barroada EC's goalie prevented a goal. Eriberto Cavalcante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 93 minutes into the match, Ruilandia AD's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Leite came free, but Zé Augusto Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Barroada EC's zone, Henrique Coutinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Ramalho came out of the goal and Henrique Coutinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 97th match minute, Ruilandia AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Luís Lima to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Barroada EC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ruilandia AD throughout the match.
