Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Leopoldo Lara started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Arósio in the 14th minute of play forced ViKinGs's goalkeeper Edgard Tróia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leopoldo Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Tróia having to interfere. ViKinGs's Edgard Tróia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adhemar Amorim in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Dorian Furtado reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Paulo Renato França. The goal made the score 1-1. Edgard Tróia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Lara in the 23rd minute of play. If Leopoldo Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Canaa booed when ViKinGs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorian Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leopoldo Lara in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgard Tróia saved ViKinGs from getting behind. Edgard Tróia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iuri Prestes went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Adhemar Amorim's late challenge caught a ViKinGs's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adhemar Amorim helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Canaa getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Adhemar Amorim hit a great ball. After 36 played minutes Canaa got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Rodrigues. After 38 minutes of play, Canaa's Albertinho Loureiro made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgard Tróia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edgard Tróia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Lara in the 43rd minute of play. Canaa's Zacarias Urbano quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gilmar Prado, made in the 46th minute of the game. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Claudinei Cavalcante to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, ViKinGs's Edgard Tróia got control of the ball when Alex Arósio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leopoldo Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Tróia having to interfere. Zacarias Urbano might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edgard Tróia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zacarias Urbano ran back to his position shaking his head. Edgard Tróia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Lara in the 70th minute of the match. A collision led to ViKinGs getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Dorian Furtado hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorian Furtado in the 73rd minute of play forced Canaa's goalkeeper Paulo Renato França to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Canaa's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinei Cavalcante came free, but Paulo Renato França reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leopoldo Laras short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Edgard Tróia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to ViKinGs getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Wágner Simões hit a great ball. Edgard Tróia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Canaa's Iuri Prestes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edgard Tróia. That made the score 1-4 after 88 minutes of play. 91 minutes into the match, Canaa's goal looked a bit too open when Joélson Meira came free, but Paulo Renato França reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Canaa's Rodolfo Rodrigues seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rodolfo Rodrigues the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Canaa protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rodolfo Rodrigues had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Joélson Meira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Paulo Renato França tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgard Tróia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zacarias Urbano in the 96th minute. Canaa's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eliézer Vinhas in the 98th minute. After taking down the ball on Canaa's corner Eliézer Vinhas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Edgard Tróia quite easily take care of the ball. Canaa played a much better game than ViKinGs and deserved their victory. The ViKinGs players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
