In the 20th match minute, Canario EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geraldo Donato to maneuver through the defense. Silas Nogueira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rikard Falkrantz's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Silas Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rikard Falkrantz, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Inácio Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Silas Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Gilberto Santos could shoot a difficult shot in the 43rd minute, which Haroldo Favoretto however easily saved by the left post. Silas Lopez was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 47th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mané Santana to make the kick off. Haroldo Favoretto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mané Santana's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. After 57 minutes Curima's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Silas Lopez who took care of the corner kick. Silas Lopez made a great header on Canario EC's corner, it was just that Curima's Haroldo Favoretto managed to reach the ball for a save. 65 minutes into the match, Rafael Cardozo sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Silas Nogueira threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Rafael Cardozo this time. Curima's supporters rose to their feet, but Inácio Pena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silas Nogueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 80th minute, Curima's Rikard Falkrantz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geraldo Donato in the 84th minute of play forced Curima's goalkeeper Haroldo Favoretto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot by Toader Podgoreanu from long distance, 88 minutes into the match, got Silas Nogueira's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Canario EC's Silas Nogueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inácio Pena in the 91st minute of play. Silas Nogueira was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Rikard Falkrantz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal.
