In the 16th minute, Christiano Gaspar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Matías Cerezo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Geovanni Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SkyBlue BR's Geovanni Dracena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matías Cerezo in the 33rd minute of play. Carlos Fernando Fantini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Téo Carioca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dito Novaes got free with Téo Carioca in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a left leg Geovanni Dracena saved SkyBlue BR from getting behind. In the 76th minute, Sidnei Favoretto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armandinho Moura hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. 81 minutes into the match, Emburrado FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dito Novaes came free, but Téo Carioca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 85 minutes, Betinho Santana mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Emburrado FC and the SkyBlue BR players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of SkyBlue BR booed when Emburrado FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betinho Santana didn't get a good kick on the ball.
