In the 19th minute Marco Xavier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrianos Imperatore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulinho Senna in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adrianos Imperatore prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Paulinho Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrianos Imperatore having to interfere. Adrianos Imperatore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Xavier in the 26th minute of play. Adrianos Imperatore came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Saguoes's Marco Xavier. But to his dismay, Marco Xavier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Xavier in the 34th minute of play forced Delta F.C.'s goalkeeper Adrianos Imperatore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Delta F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Paulinho Senna came free, but Adrianos Imperatore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Delta F.C. getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Roberto de Azevedo hit a great ball. If Marco Xavier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Paulinho Senna put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Adrianos Imperatore. Adrianos Imperatore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Xavier in the 44th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luisão Faria to make the kick off. Luisão Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adrianos Imperatore stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulinho Senna's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. The supporters of Saguoes booed when Delta F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto de Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Xaviers short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Adrianos Imperatore to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 71stth minute of the game Paulinho Senna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Delta F.C.'s Adrianos Imperatore was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Saguoes's Paulinho Senna in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Delta F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Marco Xavier who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Adrianos Imperatore when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Paulinho Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Adrianos Imperatore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Delta F.C.'s Adrianos Imperatore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulinho Senna in the 83rd minute of play. If Marco Xavier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Delta F.C.'s Roberto de Azevedo got a free kick in the 87th minute. Adrianos Imperatore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Saguoes's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
