Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) ELESTE F.C.'s Jefferson Gomes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Mauro Moura got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kiko Trancoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot by Wesley Pinheiro from long distance, 11 minutes into the match, got Mathias Netto's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Kiko Trancoso came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Caroara SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kiko Trancoso couldn't finish the play. Luiz Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Mauro Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Luiz Sergipano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Moura in the 30th minute of play forced ELESTE F.C.'s goalkeeper Luiz Sergipano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Joel Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot. ELESTE F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Alves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mathias Netto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luiz Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murillo Bertassi, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mauro Moura to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Kiko Trancoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, ELESTE F.C.'s Humberto Abraão got a free kick in the 54th minute. After 55 played minutes, Caroara SC's Filipe Duarte shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luiz Sergipano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jefferson Gomes in the 60th minute of play forced Caroara SC's goalkeeper Mathias Netto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ELESTE F.C.'s Luiz Sergipano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save ELESTE F.C. from getting a goal against them. Luiz Sergipano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69thth minute of the game Kiko Trancoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ELESTE F.C.'s Luiz Sergipano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 74th minute of the game. One of ELESTE F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Caroara SC:s goal. Kiko Trancoso struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Luiz Sergipano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caroara SC. After a defensive mix-up in ELESTE F.C.'s zone, Kiko Trancoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Sergipano came out of the goal and Kiko Trancoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mauro Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute Mauro Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Sergipano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Caroara SC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ELESTE F.C. throughout the match.
