After 4 minutes of play, Tuiue SC's Willian Massa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nuno Cardozo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tuiue SC's Enio Paes got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 10 minutes into the match, Tuiue SC's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Branco came free, but Manuel de Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Tuiue SC booed when Zogaias SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edinho Mello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manuel de Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmílson Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. With a little luck, Tuiue SC's Manuel de Castro got control of the ball when Renato Mattos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Manuel de Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmílson Rocha in the 21st minute of play. Edinho Mello could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Manuel de Castro made a huge save. Willian Massa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Manuel de Castro came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Zogaias SC's Renato Mattos. But to his dismay, Renato Mattos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Nuno Cardozo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Willian Massa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th match minute, Tuiue SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Moura to maneuver through the defense. Manuel de Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Branco, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zogaias SC's goalkeeper Nuno Cardozo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Zogaias SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tuiue SC were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edmílson Rocha made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Tuiue SC's Willian Massa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. After a rather tough play, Zogaias SC's Edinho Mello got a free kick in the 54th minute. Willian Massa struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Nuno Cardozo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tuiue SC. Flavinho Arósio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flavinho Arósio's late challenge caught a Zogaias SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flavinho Arósio helped the player get up and apologised. Flavinho Arósio kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Tuiue SC's goal looked a bit too open when Renato Mattos came free, but Manuel de Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Edmílson Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 79 minutes into the match, Tuiue SC's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Branco came free, but Manuel de Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Felipe Jacinto fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zogaias SC's protests and gave Felipe Jacinto a yellow card for diving instead. Felipe Jacinto hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute, Willian Massa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 85th minute, Zogaias SC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Enio Paes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Willian Massa got free with Nuno Cardozo in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmílson Rocha in the 86th minute of play forced Tuiue SC's goalkeeper Manuel de Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute Benjamin Branco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel de Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
