Nelson Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nelson Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Conrado Sá tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lejeado FC's Celsinho Paulista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kléberson de Godoi in the 34th minute of play. William Campidelis charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed William Campidelis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lejeado FC! When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Adilson Braga took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Conrado Sá to make any attempt to save it. 45 minutes into the game, Estopa FC's Kléberson de Godoi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Celsinho Paulista made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adilson Braga to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Estopa FC's Dalmo Velasco got a free kick in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelson Alcântara in the 60th minute of play forced Estopa FC's goalkeeper Conrado Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adilson Braga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado Sá having to interfere. Celsinho Mattos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Celsinho Paulista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celsinho Mattos, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Lejeado FC's goalkeeper Celsinho Paulista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kléberson de Godoi. Conrado Sá showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adilson Braga, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Conrado Sá took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelson Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Lejeado FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Nelson Alcântara hit a great ball. William de Castro's late challenge caught a Lejeado FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. William de Castro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 92nd match minute, Estopa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William de Castro to maneuver through the defense.
