Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kaká Dantas started the match with the kick off. Arí Secco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Figueiredo having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dinei Quaresma in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rafael Figueiredo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gremyo's attentive Reginaldo Toscano managed to snatch the ball when Eliézer Schmidt made a throw-in in the 7th minute of the game. Manoel Netto's late challenge caught a Gremyo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manoel Netto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th minute, Manoel Netto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dinei Quaresma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Rafael Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arí Secco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edward Gondek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan Vianna in the 24th minute of play. The supporters of Cassurova booed when Gremyo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dino Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edward Gondek came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Cassurova's Allan Vianna. But to his dismay, Allan Vianna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Norberto Toscano was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 38th minute. Gremyo's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 46th minute of the match, Arí Secco tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rafael Figueiredo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arí Secco to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Dinei Quaresma was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gremyo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cassurova the free kick. A collision led to Gremyo getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Dinei Quaresma hit a great ball. Dinei Quaresma's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rafael Figueiredo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Cassurova's Rafael Figueiredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arí Secco in the 79th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dino Teixeira in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rafael Figueiredo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rafael Figueiredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinei Quaresma, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Didi Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute Didi Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
