Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Didi Amaral took the kick off in the first half of the match. Edward Gondek was a little too slow when Rui Severo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 3rd minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 8th minute, Donato Abraão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 11 minutes, Arí Secco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gremyo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arí Secco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dinei Quaresma struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Kiko Paraense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gremyo. Dinei Quaresma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kiko Paraense having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Augusto Pereira in the 19th minute of play forced Guaramirim FC's goalkeeper Kiko Paraense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd match minute, Guaramirim FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Eduardo Baptista to maneuver through the defense. If Dinei Quaresma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 26 played minutes Gremyo got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Toscano. Edward Gondek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Severo in the 30th minute of play. Edward Gondek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Severo, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Antônio Carlos Cabral kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Dinei Quaresma managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gremyo's supporters rose to their feet, but Dinei Quaresma was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kiko Paraense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dinei Quaresma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute, Egídio Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kiko Paraense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Didi Amaral in the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Rui Severo made the kick off in the second half. Arí Secco hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 56 minutes into the game, Nestor Oliveira threw the ball into play from the sideline. Gremyo's Reginaldo Toscano quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Antônio Carlos Cabral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edward Gondek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tiago Gabriel Paulista during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Guaramirim FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Tiago Gabriel Paulista hit a great ball. Arí Secco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dinei Quaresma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reginaldo Toscano during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Guaramirim FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
