Emílio Félix kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Artur Tinoco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gil Silveira went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to Curunhu AD getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Yan Vidal hit a great ball. In the 12th minute, Rodrigo Cunha sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Curunhu AD's Artur Tinoco didn't even have to move. 15 minutes into the match, Haroldo Moraes notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Taiacui AD's Agnaldo Gaúcho. Agnaldo Gaúcho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Adalberto Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Tinoco having to interfere. Manolo Galvão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Agnaldo Gaúcho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guga Botelho during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Taiacui AD's Guga Botelho got a free kick in the 32nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Haroldo Moraes in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Agnaldo Gaúcho saved Taiacui AD from getting behind. Manolo Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agnaldo Gaúcho having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Curunhu AD's zone, Gil Silveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artur Tinoco came out of the goal and Gil Silveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gil Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Artur Tinoco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adalberto Ceresso struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Artur Tinoco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taiacui AD. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Adalberto Ceresso made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Adalberto Ceresso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taiacui AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Adalberto Ceresso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artur Tinoco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adalberto Ceresso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Artur Tinoco having to make a save. Haroldo Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agnaldo Gaúcho having to interfere. Guga Botelho got his second yellow card in the match during the 62nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 63rd match minute, Taiacui AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guga Botelho to maneuver through the defense. Artur Tinoco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gil Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gil Silveira struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Artur Tinoco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taiacui AD. 76 minutes into the match, Curunhu AD's goal looked a bit too open when Gil Silveira came free, but Artur Tinoco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute, Manolo Galvão fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Agnaldo Gaúcho, passed just outside the right post. When Haroldo Moraes got free in front of the goal in the 78th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Agnaldo Gaúcho was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Gil Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Tinoco having to interfere. In the 83rd minute Miguel Carioca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Tinoco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, Taiacui AD's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Manolo Galvão fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manolo Galvão in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Agnaldo Gaúcho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 93rd minute, Curunhu AD's Manolo Galvão dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. The Taiacui AD supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Curunhu AD's performance. The match ended with a win for Curunhu AD.
