Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Antway E. C.'s João Adolfo de Brito started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Enio Furlan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Manolo Cosme. The goal made the score 1-0. Kléberson Xavier hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Heliopolis's Acácio França tried to score from far away in the 8th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Manolo Cosme stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of João Adolfo de Brito's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Acácio França during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 14 played minutes Heliopolis got a freekick which was hit by Acácio França. After recieving a nice pass, Antway E. C.'s Tiaguinho Quintal tried to score from far away in the 15th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. João Adolfo de Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Manolo Cosme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cássio Marquez during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 18 played minutes Heliopolis got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Marquez. In a very dangerous position, a player in Heliopolis fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! Laércio Goiano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Waldir Hoffmann having to make a save. If Laércio Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Waldir Hoffmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laércio Goiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Leandro Chaves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldir Hoffmann having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Laércio Goiano made the kick off in the second half. When João Adolfo de Brito came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Antway E. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Adolfo de Brito couldn't finish the play. After 61 minutes, Cauã Vander mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Heliopolis and the Antway E. C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 62nd minute there was a penalty for Antway E. C.. Tiaguinho Quintal stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Manolo Cosme. 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Laércio Goiano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Heliopolis's supporters rose to their feet, but Laércio Goiano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waldir Hoffmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Waldir Hoffmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cássio Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manolo Cosme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enio Furlan in the 78th minute of the match. Laércio Goiano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Waldir Hoffmann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. João Adolfo de Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Heliopolis's Laércio Goiano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Waldir Hoffmann narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Laércio Goiano struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Waldir Hoffmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Heliopolis. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Antway E. C. had won after a very even match.
