In the 10th minute Luiz Guilherme Prado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luiz Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frédson Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cafu Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Terciotti Futebol Clube booed when Quaraci FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Váldson Quirino didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Váldson Quirino in the 27th minute of play forced Terciotti Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Frédson Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cafu Miranda struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Frédson Santana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quaraci FC. Terciotti Futebol Clube's Frédson Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kléberson Donatello in the 31st minute of play. Frédson Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Váldson Quirino in the 43rd minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Guilherme Prado was the one to do the kick off. Rômulo Cearense hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. If Maurinho Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Terciotti Futebol Clube's Luiz Guilherme Prado got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, João Francisco Mello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cafu Miranda charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cafu Miranda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Quaraci FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Cafu Miranda hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Terciotti Futebol Clube's Cristiano Terra got a free kick in the 69th minute. When Cristiano Terra came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Terciotti Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Terra couldn't finish the play. In the 76th match minute, Quaraci FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Luís Furlan to maneuver through the defense. If Luiz Guilherme Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristiano Terra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Luiz Faria having to interfere. Luiz Guilherme Prado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Terciotti Futebol Clube's Frédson Santana got control of the ball when Cafu Miranda tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sílvio Luiz Faria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme Prado in the 94th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Terciotti Futebol Clube fans cheered their team off the field, for while Quaraci FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
