The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anderson Madureira to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Benedito Coutinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benedito Coutinho might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sandro Batista. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benedito Coutinho ran back to his position shaking his head. Durvalino Rossi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anderson Madureira during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Anderson Madureira kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Leoes de Guanambi's Sandro Batista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Leoes de Guanambi from getting a goal against them. 80 minutes into the match, Leoes de Guanambi's goalkeeper Sandro Batista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benedito Coutinho. After 80 minutes of play Leoes de Guanambi's Anderson Madureira was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 81 played minutes Leoes de Guanambi got a freekick which was hit by Anderson Madureira. Sandro Batista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durvalino Rossi in the 84th minute of play. Dionísio Pereira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dráusio Penha in the 91st minute of the match. Benedito Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandro Batista having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Leoes de Guanambi's zone, Durvalino Rossi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sandro Batista came out of the goal and Durvalino Rossi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Benedito Coutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sandro Batista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durvalino Rossi in the 98th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
