The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emílio Capixaba to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leopoldo Negri in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Luís Macedo saved Tecainda AD from getting behind. After 64 minutes, Doni Alvarenga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rio-Sampa and the Tecainda AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th minute Valdo Quaresma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Luiz de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
