Crisopolis's Joélson Vasconcelos got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Filipe da Mata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armindo Amaral in the 14th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joélson Vasconcelos during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 17th match minute, Crisopolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joélson Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the match, Meios's goalkeeper Ramiro Peixoto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Charles Cosme. Jarbas Lucas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Filipe da Mata having to make a save. When Manoel Quintal fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Crisopolis's protests and gave Manoel Quintal a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Meios booed when Crisopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adilson de Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Crisopolis's Filipe da Mata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarbas Lucas in the 32nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joélson Vasconcelos in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ramiro Peixoto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 37th match minute, Meios was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Viana to maneuver through the defense. Charles Cosme struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Ramiro Peixoto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Crisopolis. In the 42nd minute Joélson Vasconcelos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Peixoto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 43 minutes, Armindo Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meios's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armindo Amaral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joélson Vasconcelos in the 46th minute of play forced Meios's goalkeeper Ramiro Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarbas Lucas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe da Mata having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joélson Vasconcelos made a kick off. Ramiro Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Cosme in the 53rd minute of the match. Jarbas Lucas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Meios's zone, Vito Favoretto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramiro Peixoto came out of the goal and Vito Favoretto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Armindo Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute, Charles Cosme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Crisopolis's Charles Cosme got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Angelo Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meios's supporters rose to their feet, but Angelo Viana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filipe da Mata breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jarbas Lucas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe da Mata having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
