Claudinho Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Augusto do Nascimento in the 11th minute of play. A collision led to Pavucu getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. José Vítor Tróia hit a great ball. Fructuoso SS's Claudinho Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Augusto do Nascimento in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute Cido Alvarenga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silas Neiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 32 minutes, João Paulo Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fructuoso SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Paulo Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Fructuoso SS booed when Pavucu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilton Barreto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Fructuoso SS's Cido Alvarenga got a free kick in the 35th minute. After 41 played minutes, Pavucu's João Vítor Prado shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Claudinho Reis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pavucu reached it. In the 47th match minute, Pavucu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Lira to maneuver through the defense. In the 50th minute Fructuoso SS were awarded a corner. Rubens do Vale went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 54th minute, Fructuoso SS's Cido Alvarenga dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cido Alvarenga made a kick off. Pavucu's Silas Neiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Paulo Torres in the 64th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Pavucu's zone, João Paulo Torres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silas Neiva came out of the goal and João Paulo Torres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Claudinho Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Augusto do Nascimento in the 70th minute of play. If César Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinho Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Augusto do Nascimento in the 76th minute of the match. João Paulo Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 104th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silas Neiva having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
