After 42 minutes of play, Tayobeiras's Marco Trancoso made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silas Neiva was left in no man's land by his defense there! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

César Mattos might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mário de Almeida. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Moura in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silas Neiva saved Pavucu from getting behind. When Marco Trancoso came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Tayobeiras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Trancoso couldn't finish the play.
