Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Percival Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 23rd play minute Percival Koehler came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Darin Gregory. 1-1. Percival Koehlers short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Darin Gregory to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 30 minutes into the match, Jacobina SS's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Dracena came free, but Kléberson Barral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, Cícero Freitas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Kléberson Barral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Percival Koehler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Darin Gregory made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Leopoldo Dracena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kléberson Barral was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Luís Fernando Tande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When José Pedro de Amorim fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jacobina SS's protests and gave José Pedro de Amorim a yellow card for diving instead. 43 minutes into the game, one of Jacobina SS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Leopoldo Dracena walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Red Bull Pelotas-RS's Luís Fernando Tande got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Red Bull Pelotas-RS were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Percival Koehler to make the kick off. The supporters of Jacobina SS booed when Red Bull Pelotas-RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fernando Tande didn't get a good kick on the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Red Bull Pelotas-RS's Leopoldo Dracena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kléberson Barral narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Leopoldo Dracena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kléberson Barral having to interfere. Kléberson Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fábio Macedo in the 60th minute of play. If Leopoldo Dracena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kléberson Barral made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Luís Fábio Macedo sent off a good shot on target. Jonas Fernandes kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 69th minute of the match Isaltino Furtado shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Darin Gregory showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jacobina SS's Percival Koehler got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Jaakkima Paška came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Red Bull Pelotas-RS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaakkima Paška couldn't finish the play. Kléberson Barral didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Red Bull Pelotas-RS's Leopoldo Dracena shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-3 in the ordered_time% minute. 80 minutes into the match, Leopoldo Dracena dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kléberson Barral, 1-4. Jonas Fernandes got his second yellow card in the match during the 85th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground.
