The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in PAULISTA reached it. Antônio Carlos Tinoco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Macedo having to interfere. Carlinhos Ferraz hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. PAULISTA's Edgard do Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Meirelles in the 17th minute of play. Belmiro Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Inhacora EC's Jairo Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Carlos Tinoco in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, PAULISTA's Ricardo Teixeira got a free kick in the 24th minute. Edgard do Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Digo Vidal in the 27th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Inhacora EC's zone, Antônio Carlos Tinoco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jairo Macedo came out of the goal and Antônio Carlos Tinoco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th minute of the game Mané Mello made a throw-in which Zé Carlos Barral played forward. A hard shot 38 in the game by Antônio Carlos Tinoco from a close distance when the talented Jairo Macedo managed to make a qualified save. Inhacora EC's players were relieved. After 38 minutes, Cícero do Nascimento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inhacora EC and the PAULISTA players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 40th minute, Cícero do Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Inhacora EC booed when PAULISTA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cássio Ramalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Digo Vidal took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgard do Valle. Edgard do Valle dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

PAULISTA's Edgard do Valle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save PAULISTA from getting a goal against them. Antônio Carlos Tinoco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Macedo having to interfere. 56 minutes into the game, Marcus Meirelles recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edgard do Valle. Marcus Meirelles showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Antônio Carlos Tinoco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Jairo Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, PAULISTA's Edgard do Valle got control of the ball when Digo Vidal tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 67 played minutes PAULISTA got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Ramalho. 71 minutes into the game, Marcus Meirelles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Inhacora EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PAULISTA the free kick. After a rather tough play, Inhacora EC's Marcus Meirelles got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 73rd minute, Vasile Calin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PAULISTA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Cafu de Almeida hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Edgard do Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Meirelles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jairo Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio Carlos Tinoco, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. PAULISTA's Arnaldo de Godoy managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Mané Mello in the 93 minute of the game. 97 minutes into the match, PAULISTA's goalkeeper Edgard do Valle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Digo Vidal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Inhacora EC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
