In the 75th minute, Charles Souza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tapiara's Aílton Porto got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Charles Souza came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Piauna EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charles Souza couldn't finish the play. Kléber Cordeiro was shown his second yellow card after 81 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Tapiara getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Kléber Cordeiro hit a great ball. With a little luck, Tapiara's Doriva de Alcântara got control of the ball when Charles Souza tried to sneak it across the goal line. Doriva de Alcântara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Luiz Campidelis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albertinho Mendonça charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Sílvio Luiz Campidelis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Doriva de Alcântara having to make a save. Charles Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 96 minutes, Charles Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piauna EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charles Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tapiara succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Piauna EC had controlled the match.
