Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Norberto Ferraz got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Pilaozinho's Wesley Mangueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ernani Carvalho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Agnaldo de Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Moisés Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Alfredo Teles came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Pilaozinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Teles couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Alfredo Teles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pilaozinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Teles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernani Carvalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rdth minute of the game Alfredo Teles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vilela EC's Ernani Carvalho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Vilela EC's Ernani Carvalho got control of the ball when Moisés Rocha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alfredo Teles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 36 minutes, Alfredo Teles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pilaozinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Teles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfredo Teles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ernani Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Teles in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfredo Teles to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Norberto Ferraz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gláuber Madureira, 1-1. Moisés Rocha's late challenge caught a Vilela EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Moisés Rocha helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Vilela EC booed when Pilaozinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moisés Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gerson Almeida made in the 63rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Norberto Ferraz. In the 66thth minute of the game Wesley Mangueira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vilela EC's Ernani Carvalho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Norberto Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Vilela EC's zone, Alfredo Teles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernani Carvalho came out of the goal and Alfredo Teles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ernani Carvalho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfredo Teles's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. If Alfredo Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th match minute, Vilela EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glauco Xavier to maneuver through the defense. Ernani Carvalho came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Pilaozinho's Alfredo Teles. But to his dismay, Alfredo Teles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. When the referee ended the match the Pilaozinho players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
