The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ricardo Bueno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vila Paulista FC's Rafinha da Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Bueno in the 20th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ricardo Bueno in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafinha da Silva saved Vila Paulista FC from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anselmo Ferraz got free with Waldir de Sena in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 32 minutes into the match, MANIERO TEAM's Filippo Grassi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rafinha da Silva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rafinha da Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filippo Grassi, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vila Paulista FC's goalkeeper Rafinha da Silva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Filippo Grassi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafinha da Silva having to interfere. MANIERO TEAM's Waldir de Sena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save MANIERO TEAM from getting a goal against them. Ricardo Bueno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Luís Fernando Vasconcelos made the kick off in the second half. MANIERO TEAM's Ricardo Bueno was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 53rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 59th minute Anselmo Ferraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir de Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filippo Grassi in the 61st minute of play forced Vila Paulista FC's goalkeeper Rafinha da Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardo Bueno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Rafinha da Silva made a huge save. Ricardo Bueno scored 0-3 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rafinha da Silva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Filippo Grassi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vila Paulista FC's Luís Fernando Vasconcelos got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 80 played minutes, Vila Paulista FC's Silvério de Azevedo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Waldir de Sena came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vila Paulista FC reached it. After a defensive mix-up in MANIERO TEAM's zone, Anselmo Ferraz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldir de Sena came out of the goal and Anselmo Ferraz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Hélder Bittencourt kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rafinha da Silva. That made the score 0-5 in the 87 minute of play. In the 91st minute, Anselmo Ferraz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Waldir de Sena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fernando Vasconcelos in the 93rd minute of the match. MANIERO TEAM's Waldir de Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Ferraz in the 96th minute of play. MANIERO TEAM's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
