Manfredo Ribeiro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 5thth minute, Egídio Veiga skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 5th minute, Sandro Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Pedro Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Paes in the 9th minute of the match. Jeferson Ceresso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Egídio Veiga came out and tried to block the shot, but Jeferson Ceresso slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 11th minute. In the 16thth minute of the game Falcão Félix who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marcondesia SS's José Pedro Gomes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Egídio Veiga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeferson Ceresso in the 20th minute of the match. With a little luck, Genesio's Egídio Veiga got control of the ball when Manfredo Ribeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luiz Fabiano Coutinho hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute Falcão Félix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Pedro Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeferson Ceresso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Egídio Veiga was out of position in the 34 minute of play, and Jeferson Ceresso capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jeferson Ceresso really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 38th match minute, Genesio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vito Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Genesio's zone, Gilson Tinoco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egídio Veiga came out of the goal and Gilson Tinoco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th match minute, Marcondesia SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Naldo Passos to maneuver through the defense. In the 49th minute of the match Genesio got a corner. Marcondesia SS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Guga Berger ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Guga Berger almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Marcondesia SS's José Pedro Gomes did a great save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vicente Paes to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Vicente Paes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of José Pedro Gomes, 2-1. 64 minutes into the game, Jeferson Ceresso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marcondesia SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Genesio the free kick. After a rather tough play, Marcondesia SS's Jeferson Ceresso got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 65 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Marcondesia SS! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geovanni Berger during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 75th minute, Geovanni Berger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Genesio defense, Manfredo Ribeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Egídio Veiga. The Genesio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Egídio Veiga should have stopped the shot. Manfredo Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Egídio Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Marcondesia SS's goalkeeper José Pedro Gomes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Falcão Félix. In the 90th minute Manfredo Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egídio Veiga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 91 played minutes Genesio got a freekick which was hit by Sandro Mendes. If Manfredo Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Falcão Félix's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but José Pedro Gomes firmly grabbed it by the left post. Marcondesia SS were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Genesio for a fine match.
