César Lopez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Norberto Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Anselmi's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto Reis came free, but Gonçalo Moura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vinícius Batistas short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Valdomiro Bueno to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Norberto Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Anselmi's Danilo Penha got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Anselmi's goalkeeper Gonçalo Moura, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vinícius Batista to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Adilson Vargas managed to get in a good position for a shot.
