Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Jumirim FC's Flavinho Passos started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tiago Loyola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavinho Passos in the 4th minute of the match. If Edvaldo Cavalcante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the match, Chuvarada's goal looked a bit too open when Flavinho Passos came free, but Tiago Loyola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jumirim FC's goalkeeper Américo Sampaio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Flavinho Passos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Loyola having to interfere. Chuvarada's Nilmar Freire got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Edvaldo Cavalcante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Edvaldo Cavalcante notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Chuvarada's Tiago Loyola. Tiago Loyola was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 45th minute, Edvaldo Cavalcante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Chuvarada's zone, Edvaldo Cavalcante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiago Loyola came out of the goal and Edvaldo Cavalcante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Jumirim FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nilmar Freire made a kick off. When Edvaldo Cavalcante came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Jumirim FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edvaldo Cavalcante couldn't finish the play. Elias Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Tiago Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Américo Sampaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Rosa in the 58th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Chuvarada's goalkeeper Tiago Loyola had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edvaldo Cavalcante. After a rather tough play, Jumirim FC's Marcelo de Godoy got a free kick in the 76th minute. 77 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Chuvarada's Nilmar Freire fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Edvaldo Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jumirim FC's Américo Sampaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Rosa in the 86th minute of play. Nilmar Freire kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. The Jumirim FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Jumirim FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
