Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Flavinho Passos kicked off to start the match. Flavinho Passos took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgar Botelho. Edgar Botelho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 9th minute of the match Natã Teles shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edgar Botelho showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edvaldo Cavalcante in the 10th minute of play forced Ponciano FC's goalkeeper Edgar Botelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Ponciano FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Richard Tavares hit a great ball. Richard Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 25th match minute, Jumirim FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo de Godoy to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Jumirim FC's zone, João Carlos da Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Américo Sampaio came out of the goal and João Carlos da Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Américo Sampaio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Carlos da Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Edgar Botelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavinho Passos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Jumirim FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. João Carlos da Silva was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Flavinho Passos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jumirim FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavinho Passos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Botelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 59th minute, Flavinho Passos fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Edgar Botelho, passed just outside the right post. Américo Sampaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Eduardo Alvarenga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Eduardo Alvarenga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 66 played minutes Jumirim FC got a freekick which was hit by Thomás Porto. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Eduardo Alvarenga in the 68th minute of play forced Jumirim FC's goalkeeper Américo Sampaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ponciano FC's João Carlos da Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 72nd minute, Célio Brodel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ponciano FC's Leopoldo Paraíba suffered a concussion in the 76th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Marcelo de Godoy charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcelo de Godoy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 76th match minute, Jumirim FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo de Godoy to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Ponciano FC's Célio Brodel tried to score from far away in the 77th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the last second Edgar Botelho throw himself and got hold of the ball when Flavinho Passos in the 86thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After a rather tough play, Ponciano FC's João Carlos da Silva got a free kick in the 87th minute. Flavinho Passos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edgar Botelho came out and tried to block the shot, but Flavinho Passos slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 90th minute. After having played for 94 minutes, Flavinho Passos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jumirim FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavinho Passos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Flavinho Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Jumirim FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
