An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroldo Gaúcho in the 3rd minute of play forced Taruma SC's goalkeeper Kléberson Cosme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 3 played minutes Taruma SC got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Antunes. Tiago Trancoso hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Clemente Guerra hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiago Trancoso in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kléberson Cosme saved Taruma SC from getting behind. If Carlos Alberto Coutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 24 played minutes Majuria SS got a freekick which was hit by Celso Lara. In the 28th minute Carlos Alberto Coutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kléberson Cosme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Maia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustão Sarmento in the 30th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Majuria SS's Adelino Azevedo got a free kick in the 30th minute. Daniel Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustão Sarmento in the 36th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiago Trancoso in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kléberson Cosme saved Taruma SC from getting behind. 40 minutes into the game, Carlos Alberto Coutinho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Kléberson Cosme was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tiago Trancoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kléberson Cosme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiago Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Faustão Sarmento to make the kick off. Celso Lara hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Carlos Alberto Coutinho's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Kléberson Cosme skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Carlos Alberto Coutinho in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kléberson Cosme, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 60th minute, Clemente Guerra sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Majuria SS's Daniel Maia didn't even have to move. 62 minutes into the match, Dorival Vander had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Daniel Maia. Majuria SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dorival Vander was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Dorival Vander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Maia having to interfere. Majuria SS's Daniel Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustão Sarmento in the 66th minute of play. After 67 played minutes Majuria SS got a freekick which was hit by Haroldo Gaúcho. In the 68th minute Dorival Vander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiago Trancoso was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 73rd minute. Majuria SS's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Deivid Luz during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Deivid Luz kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Kléberson Cosme made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Carlos Alberto Coutinho sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Taruma SC's zone, Carlos Alberto Coutinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kléberson Cosme came out of the goal and Carlos Alberto Coutinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
