Danilo Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Sebastião Rezende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Cipriano Pitta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manfredo de Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vágner Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Cipriano Pitta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastião Rezende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Pitta having to interfere. Sebastião Rezende's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cipriano Pitta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. After having played for 28 minutes, Sebastião Rezende managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Terrinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastião Rezende was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Terrinha booed when Ouricurituba SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giovani Linares didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute of the match Tiaguinho Teixeira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cipriano Pitta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 33 minutes, Washington Barreto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Terrinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Washington Barreto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Terrinha booed when Ouricurituba SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Tavares didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Danilo Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ouricurituba SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Danilo Tavares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walmir Custódio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Danilo Tavares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 41st play minute Manfredo de Toledo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Walmir Custódio. 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Washington Barreto to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manfredo de Toledo in the 54th minute of play forced Terrinha's goalkeeper Walmir Custódio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Terrinha's zone, Manfredo de Toledo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walmir Custódio came out of the goal and Manfredo de Toledo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Túlio Marquez kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Manfredo de Toledo fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 64th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. After a rather tough play, Ouricurituba SS's Danilo Tavares got a free kick in the 66th minute. Vágner Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Cipriano Pitta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Washington Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Washington Barreto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Pitta having to interfere. Terrinha's Vágner Baiano got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Vágner Baiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Washington Barreto struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Cipriano Pitta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Terrinha. The Ouricurituba SS support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
