In the 13th match minute, Sebo de Ovelha MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the game, Joel Favoretto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Oswaldo Brodel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Albertinho Félix fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sebo de Ovelha MZC's protests and gave Albertinho Félix a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Favoretto in the 29th minute of play forced Sebo de Ovelha MZC's goalkeeper Oswaldo Brodel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mirary EC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
