Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cristian de Senna got the match started through his kick off. Bernardo Paes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Fernandez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Décio Severo having to make a save. After 7 played minutes Grêmio UG got a freekick which was hit by Matheus Leme. 10 minutes into the match, Grêmio UG's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Fernandez came free, but Décio Severo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Décio Severo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Fernandez's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. 15 minutes in the game, Fausto Amorim fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Walmyr Loyola having to interfere. Décio Severo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geraldo Ramos in the 25th minute of the match. Fausto Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Walmyr Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fausto Amorim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Walmyr Loyola made a huge save. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Geraldo Ramos to strike the kick off in the second half. A nice corner shot did that Telmo Moraes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Décio Severo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 57th play minutes Geraldo Ramos shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Décio Severo and just under the crossbar into goal. Walmyr Loyola didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian de Senna went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 66th minute, Guarulhos FC's Pedro Fernandez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Décio Severo. Décio Severo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian de Senna in the 82nd minute of play forced Guarulhos FC's goalkeeper Walmyr Loyola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Fernandez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Décio Severo made a huge save. In the 87th match minute, Guarulhos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kiko Abreu to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Fernandez struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Décio Severo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guarulhos FC. When Ronaldo Salgado fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grêmio UG's protests and gave Ronaldo Salgado a yellow card for diving instead. Ronaldo Salgado hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Doriva Prestes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Walmyr Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Guarulhos FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Guarulhos FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
